Share Data Between a Host Computer & Virtual Machine

Turn off the guest machine and open your Hyper-V manager. Locate the guest server and click "Settings." Select "Network Adapter" under "Add Hardware" and click "Add." Select "Local Area Connection - Virtual Network" under "Network Adapter."

Check the boxes next to "Enable Spoofing of MAC Addresses" and "Enable Virtual LAN Identification."

Click "Actions" within the "Hyper-V Manager" and click "Virtual Network Manager."

Choose "Internal" within the "Create Virtual Network" page and click "Add."

Click the "Network Icon" in the tray of your host machine and choose "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Manage Network Connections." Choose the network adapter you use to connect to the Internet. Right-click it and click "Properties." Choose the "Sharing" tab within "Properties." Check the box next to "Allow Other Network Users to Connect Through this Computer's Internet Connection." Designate the home networking connection to be the network adapter you created in the first 4 steps.

Click "File Sharing." Right-click the folder you wish to share and choose "Share with\Specific People." Designate who can have access. Open your guest operating system from Hyper-V. Click "Start" and then, click "Run." Enter the location address of the share, this will open the share. You have now shared data between a host computer and a virtual machine.
